Gordon Marino is Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at St. Olaf College and former director of the Hong Kierkegaard Library. A former boxer and veteran boxing trainer, Marino is the author of, among other works, The Existentialist’s Survival Guide: How to Live Authentically in an Inauthentic Age (Harper, 2018). His articles have appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, and Commonweal.
