The USCCB has made the revised-and-approved texts of the mass available online, in PDF form. (Thanks to Whispers in the Loggia for the heads-up.) You can also find a cover letter of sorts here.I understand it will be quite a while yet before we actually make the switch -- they haven't settled on the collects yet, is that right? But at least this will give us all a chance to practice. I know it's going to take me a long time to get used to the changes, especially the part about "...that you should enter under my roof." I can already see myself boring my grandkids with stories about the weird things we used to say at mass when I was a girl. (Although I'm hoping these won't be the biggest changes we see between now and then.)Composers (and malcontents) take note: this is also an opportunity to get a jump on Marty Haugen in composing the next popular musical mass. Please note, we're getting tough this time: No paraphrasing! The memorial acclamation looks like it will be a particular challenge...
