Some readers have suggested that I have it out for Herman Cain. Not so. I find him winning in many ways. Of course, I have some reservations. But after seeing his latest ad, maybe I should say I had reservations. How can you not vote for someone whose campaign produced the following?

You have to admire a candidate who, conventional wisdom be damned, isn't afraid to put a cigarette in a TV spot. (At least I think it was a cigarette.) Which reminds me.

One day when [my son] Vincent was about six or seven -- I don't remember exactly how old he was -- he asked, "Dad, did they have TV when you were growing up?"I thought: This kid is really out of touch.
