Like all significant events, Mitt Romney's trouble with frank talk in quiet rooms reminds me of a scene from The Simpsons -- specifically this one, in which Principal Skinner says, a little too loudly, "Oh, come on, Edna, we both know these children have no future!" and then, realizing the students have overheard him, tries to spin it: "Prove me wrong, kids! Prove me wrong."(P.S. See also Jonathan Chait's earlier "Life Imitates The Simpsons" post for more Romney/Springfield synergy.)
