I hope to write something about the Princeton abortion conference this weekend. In the meantime, I have been thinking about a remark made by several that young people don't think about abortion in the same way that it was thought about in the 80's and 90's.This thought crystallized for me a moment ago, as I just heard Ben Folds Five's "Brick" on the radio--it's about an abortion the drummer's high school girlfriend had. The sense of loss and disruption is excruciating--at the same time, there is no indication that the author is part of the political pro-life movement.The ever-helpful Wikipedia has a list of songs about abortion. What do people think? Does the under-thirty cohort think about abortion differently?
