John F. Deane is the founder of Poetry Ireland, the national poetry society, and of its journal The Poetry Ireland Review. He has published nine collections, including Selected and New Poems (2023) and, most recently, Jonah and Me. He is a member of Aosdána, the Irish academy of the arts.
