An article in Spiegel describes how Poles feel that they have not been given enough credit for initiating the process that within a few short months in 1989 peacefully brought the Soviet empire to an end, surely the most important event in the post-WW II era. The article mentions the poster of Gary Cooper that helped inspire the efforts of Solidarity in Poland. Here it is:I wonder who designed that blood-red logo for Solidarnosc. It was brilliant!
