On a recent trip to New York, I visited the Cloisters for the first time in many years. What a treasure house of beauty and peace! One of the paintings that most impressed me was a triptych from the School of Rogier van der Weyden, with a lovely representation of the embrace of Mary and Elizabeth. Clearly, all four were rejoicing.
