Okay, I'm almost through the first season of Deadwood. I have to admit, Grant was right. I've gotten hooked (well, apart from the part where they killed the teenage thieves, for which I had to leave the room --and . . . those pigs. . . )

But the dialogue is very, very good. And Al is beginning to grow on me.

The most incongruous thing. . . those actors have really, really white teeth--which look startling and anachronistic against their dirty faces.
