When Stephen Colbert first went on the air, I thought his "real" beliefs were similar to mine. At the same time I noticed that politically and religiously more conservative Catholics thought his "real" sensibilities were similar to theirs. So I eventually came to the conclusion that his show was a Rorschach test of sorts==you projected yourself in some way upon the show.A recent study has provided more evidence that this is the case.
