Mollie’s post on the new bishop of Scranton reminds me that it was one year ago today that Timothy Dolan was named the new Archbishop of New York — and mirabile dictu, he’s already getting a promotion! It is an advancement, however, of the kind that only John Allen can confer…“American Pope: A Biography of New York’s Archbishop Timothy Dolan.”Due out in October. By which time Dolan may even be a cardinal.
