Paul Lauritzen's earlier post, "Liberal Creationism," about William Saletan's three-part series on Slate.com on a possible genetic basis for IQ occasioned a rather lively back-and-forth. A story in today's New York Times recounts the ensuing viral brouhaha and some remarkable back-tracking by Saletan and his editor, Jacob Weisberg. Im a little disappointed in myself, Saletan says. He has even penned a fourth installment, titled "Regrets."
