Antonio Spadaro, Contributing Writer

Antonio Spadaro is a Jesuit and undersecretary of the Dicastery for Culture and Education of the Holy See. He served for twelve years as editor in chief of La Civiltà Cattolica. He was a recipient of an honorary doctorate in divinity from the School of Theology at Santa Clara University and is a full member of the Pontifical Academy of Fine Arts and Letters of the Virtuosi al Pantheon. He was chosen by Pope Francis for the pope’s first interview, which was later published as My Door Is Always Open (Bloomsbury Press). Author of numerous books on contemporary culture, art, and literature, Spadaro’s recent work includes Dialogues on Faith (Grand Central Publishing), a volume of conversations with Martin Scorsese.
