After a brief hiatus, The Commonweal Podcast will return in 2026 with brand-new episodes. In addition to regular episodes, we will also debut a limited podcast series hosted by Aaron Robertson, our inaugural Centennial Fellow, whose essay about parish closures and mergers in the Archdiocese of Detroit is featured in the December print issue of the magazine. 

In the meantime, listeners can check out Of This World, a new podcast series about religion and politics hosted by Commonweal contributors Daniel Steinmetz-Jenkins and Nick Tabor. Together, they interrogate the political and theological ideas underpinning today’s conservative right and examine how progressive politics can more closely align with religious teaching and traditions.
