The nectar you gave tasted of wild mountains

Where far-flung, deep beauties drew my heart

“There is so much beauty to write about,” you said.

The sparkling bay spoke louder than any word.

Strange islands bathed in sea-smoke,

Stranger still the music we heard.

“Just a bit further, beyond the nun of the reef,

We will see the hills and, oh, islands,

Strange and whirling as we draw into the bay.”
