I know that Stephen Colbert gets a lot ofpresshere on dotCommonweal, but it's probably because he's got a lot of good stuff going on. For example, he announced last night that he wants to help the public schools of Pennsylvania by working with DonorsChoose.org, the website that earned nearly $66,000 for South Carolina schools when Colbert was "running for president" there. Donors can select which candidate they want to support visually (either Obama or Clinton) and then support a classroom project monetarily. It is an example of the Democratic process in action with some charitable expressions thrown in there too. None of the money actually goes to either Obama or Clinton's campaigns, rather a donation is made in honor of the campaign.Incentives like this are part of why we all like Colbert so much.
