U.S. Catholic has published a new article of mine about evangelical Protestants who convert to Catholicism, a topic we've discussed here at DotCommonweal as well. There is also a sidebar for those inclined to ask "just what is an evangelical anyway?"One interesting thing I found while researching the article is that the percentage of Catholics who were raised Protestants is roughly the same as the percentage of Protestants who were raised Catholic. Clearly, there is movement in both directions. It's a reminder that the United States remains a very diverse religious "marketplace" with large numbers of people worshiping God differently than how they were raised.
