And there’s this: http://www.outsidethebeltway.com/why-charlie-rangel-will-likely-survive/
Now that Obama has suggested that Rangel resign, you can be sure he won’t, and that if he runs he’ll win! I know my district. Witness the Obamians trying to get David Patterson to resign as governor. That didn’t work either though he dropped out of the governor’s race.

Lest the more right-leaning of our readers start to gloat, may I remind them of a few Republican names (in no particular order)?
• Mark Foley
• Randy “Duke” Cunningham
• David Vitter
• Ted Stevens
• Rick Renzi
• Tom DeLay
• Robert Torricelli
• John Doolittle
• David Durenberger
• Robert B. Anderson
• James Watt
• Eliot Abrams
• John Poindexter
• Rita Lavelle
• Catalina Vasquez Villalpando (the only US Treasurer ever sent to prison!)
• And for those with long memories: Donald Lukens
You can find all about them easily on Google. And, yes, I know — there are plenty of matching Democratic names as well.

• Robert Torricelli”
Senator Torricelli was elected to the 98th Congress as a Democrat actually and I do not believe he ever switched parties according to his biography(http://bioguide.congress.gov/scripts/biodisplay.pl?index=T000317). What source are you using to affiliate him with the Republician party?
