Colbert on Angels and Demons

Posted by

I’m going to try to see it this weekend –nothing else going on–should be just a boring ol’ weekend in South Bend!

1.  Colbert’s opening.

2. Colbert’s interview with Ron Howard — who looked extremely nervous to me.

  1. Yo, Cathy, wassup with the links?

I saw the movie Monday. I have to write a review for Beliefnet by Friday. We can compare notes later. But I don’t want to spoil the excitment for you…

  2. PS: Yes, the Sunday afternoon matinee should be clear.

  3. Sorry, everybody, I’m trying to fix the videos now — in the meantime, the links should work!

  4. Prof. Kaveny – film the commencemnt – it might be our own American/ND version of Angels and Demons. Think about it!!

  5. Okay, I admit it: the videos have defeated me. I can make one appear, but not both. I guess we will have to make do with the links.

  6. Alas, no one is going to confuse South Bend with Rome. I think Olive Garden gets named the best Italian restaurant year after year. Olive Garden.

  7. Olive Garden?! I think eating there is what killed the Illuminati.

  8. Illuminati Killed??? I thought the Illuminati were the ‘ princpals’ on dotCommonweal!

  9. I may very well be going to the movies if I can’t find my academic robes! We moved buildings in a week from hell last winter, and I have no idea where they are. I don’t what the illuminati wear, but I suppose from a certain angle my academic robes, with their big sleeves, make me look like beat-up angel. A blue, moldy angel with limp black-and-blue wings.

  10. Okay. I found them. But not the hat. Darn.

  11. I don’t think Bishop D’Arcy is using his robes that day…But the hat may not be “you.”
