  1. Grant–

    Thanks for this notice.

Somewhat off topic, but there isn’t another recent thread where I could compliment Commonweal for its excellent “Life & Science” editorial in the current issue of the magazine. The editorial is very well-written and well-reasoned, and I hope it gets a lot of play in the secular media. I’ve been distributing copies of the editorial to friends, colleagues, and fellow parishioners, together with subscription info about the magazine.

  2. Gee, Tthere’s som much neat stuff in Commonweal – thought Cathy’s article on the Vagina Monolgues was the finest thing I’ve read about engagement in today’s ediucational world.)
But, I really was happy to read this thread because it underscores the post-innugaration seperation of ideologies that continue to hamper moving forward.
Today’s NPR piece on the possible use of reconciliation procedures to pass the budget and whining from the now minority Senaste Republicans about the “post-partisan” climate are indicative that the tension is very highright now.
    So much for issues…..

  3. Thanks, guys. You’re right, we’ve been remiss in calling attention to the good stuff in the magazine here on the blog! Here’s a link to the editorial William refers to, for anyone who hasn’t read it yet:
