Inside story from Gaza

For an on-the-ground feel for what the war in Gaza has wrought, I recommend the blog of Caritas Internationalis, the international Catholic relief organization. The site helps to fill gaps in the news coverage left by Israel’s refusal to allow foreign correspondents in to Gaza. Among the posts: Caritas reported on Jan. 14 that one of its medical clinics was destroyed in an air attack, along with $10,000 worth of badly needed medical supplies.

How do you respond to this video and protect the innocent from Hamas? Perhaps Caritas Internationalis can help.

If they tried to help shield children from this kind of hate-conditioning they would probably be expelled, or killed outright. It is tragic that the people of Gaza who voted in Hamas are setting their children up for a life of hatred and violence against Jews.
It doesn’t appear that Ban Ki moon is interested in all that. I wonder if the people of Caritas are…
Caritas International is helping and certainly not fostering hatred. We lost three thousand people on 9/11 while the Arabic lands in the Middle East have lost their homes and lives in the tens of thousands. Their living conditions are not good while they have been expelled from their land since 1948. It is simplistic and perhaps immoral to say the problem is with Hamas.
Israel is employing the same kind of managed news that the US employed in Iraq. Truth is the first to go. Especially in the reporting from the US state department.

And you know this because…?
