The day after the election, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Sr. Helen Prejean to talk to her about the election and what she would say to the new president about the death penalty in this country. As always, her passion for social justice was inspiring. You can listen to the podcast below.

Thank you so very much for this content. The beauty of the language that Sister Helen Prejean speaks, resonates with me, a victim, who met the man who murdered her Father. I met a human being, he met me. Sister Helen speaks about something that I believe with all of my heart: BOTH victim and offender need, deserve, warrant care, support, love, understanding, spaces to grieve, to ache, to hear that they are HUMAN and can be more, ARE more than one act, one definition.
Sincerely,
Margot Van Sluytman
