  1. Patrick Jordan paints a terrific portrait of Dorothy Day. In some ways, diakonia can be very simple – one simply serves where one sees the need for service. (Our failure to do something so simple and straightforward may be something for which we’ll have to answer some day). The simplicity and directness of Dorothy are very thought-provoking.
