  1. What I find in some ways even more disturbing than the choice itself is the willingness of McCain and so many of his supporters to argue that of course she’s qualified to be president. No foreign policy experience? But look how close Alaska is to Russia! And she’s been Commander in Chief of the Alaska National Guard.

Where does spinning end and lying begin?

  2. Yes, she’s not like Obama; he’s so qualified to be president. Of course he’s a man.

  3. Bob,

As I observed elsewhere, it’s much more important to strike back than to make sense. Good work.

While it would certainly be relvant in deciding which ticket to vote for, whether or not Obama is qualified to be president has absolutely no bearing whatsoever on whether Sarah Palin is qualified.

So far, from what I can tell, gender is actually working in Palin’s favor, not against her.

  4. David:
Excuse me, but who appointed you as the arbiter of of what makes sense? And what are your qualifications to do so? And could we all dispense with the absurd illusion that presidential election partisanship has no place in this blog? All of us know the extreme importance of this campaign and we will all fight to display our “flags”.

  5. Bob N. You have to be kidding. You can’t write what you wrote here. I deleted it.

  6. Grant:
Although I usually always disagree with you, you seem to be a fair and just man, with a good heart.

  7. Did anyone know that Palin is a former Catholic? http://bilgrimage.blogspot.com/2008/09/unclothed-emperor-sarah-palin-and.html
