Apropos of the book signing by Mr. and Mrs. Gingrich mentioned in David Gibson’s Post–a photo of the happy couple (Latare Medal candidates?).

They don’t look very happy, do they?
Gingrich and Limbaugh – seven wives between them! Thank God for the defenders of traditional marriage!
Midwestmind, that actually appears to be legitimate academic programming, appropriate for a Catholic University. To my eyes, much different than the book signing situation.
That Gingerich’s views will be presented at Notre Dame is perfectly consistent with Newman’s idea of a university. In a true university everyone is heard, and truth becomes clearer after careful and rational discussion of all sides, Newman never feared truth, as do some Catholic educators and the parents who send their children to their schools..
Let’s contact the Basilica over this: http://vox-nova.com/2010/09/13/call-the-basilica-now/
“Prominent Authors” featured in the bookstore:

“Angels and Demons”:

Appears to favor demons more than angels.
A stomach-churning place.
The gift shop beneath the National Cathedral is much nicer. (Not to mention the architecture, the windows, the chapels, etc., etc.)
Should the Pope’s books be removed from Catholic bookstores?
Didn’t he say things that were so offensive to Muslims that they were led to kill innocents? And many others find his remarks about women and abuse victims to be intolerable.
PM: Has someone proposed removing Pope books from Catholic bookstores–or is that your late evening fancy?
